Day 13 - Where to Turn When Our Faith Grows Weary

Posted by Kevin Pomeroy

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author, the perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand at the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  (Hebrews 12:2-3)

As I go through my day to day life, I can’t believe how much my faith is tested. Seems like from the time I wake up and all through my day at work, and even when I am home at night, my faith is constantly tested. And all too often in my life, my faith starts to grow weary. It is in times like this when I need to look at the life of Jesus for guidance to replenish my faith. He has faced every test that I could ever imagine and has always remained faithful. All the way to the cross.    So when all of the trials of this world start to make your faith grow weary, be sure to keep your focus on Jesus. Remember Jesus stayed faithful to God’s plan so we would be able to stay faithful to Him as well.

PRAYER:  “Dear Lord, please give me the strength and guidance to stay faithful to you through all my days. When my faith grows weary, give me the wisdom to look at the life of Jesus and see what true faithfulness is all about. Amen.”

POINT TO PONDER:  Jesus endured so much so that we would not have to.

    That is great kevin!

How encouraging! Jesus “understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15 NLT)

    Hey Coach,

This is encouraging…To know that Jesus went through what He went through for us. And we can look to His perfect example. He’s “been there, done that.” He understands when we’re tempted or when we face discouragement or pain. He can help us when our faith is tested, and it WILL be tested over and over again. Thanks Coach!

This is a great reminder and encouragement for everyday living. Great job Kevin!
